To get a medical card in Florida, you'll need to meet these requirements:

You must live in Florida to get a medical card. You will need to show proof that you live in Florida, like a Florida driver's license, a state ID card, or a utility bill in your name.

2. Have a Qualifying Medical Condition

Florida has a list of medical conditions that qualify for medical marijuana treatment. These conditions include:

Cancer
Epilepsy

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
Chronic pain caused by a qualifying medical condition or that originates from a qualifying medical condition and persists beyond the usual course of that qualifying medical condition.

If you have a medical condition that isn't on the list, your doctor may still be able to recommend medical marijuana as a treatment option.

3. See a Certified Physician

You'll need to see a doctor who is certified to recommend medical marijuana in Florida. This doctor will evaluate your medical condition and determine if medical marijuana would be a good treatment option for you.

4. Apply and Pay the Fee

After your evaluation, you'll need to submit an application to the Florida Department of Health's Office of Medical Marijuana Use. The application fee is $75, and it must be paid at the time of submission.

Once your application has been submitted, the Florida Department of Health will review it. If your application is approved, you'll receive a temporary medical card that is valid for 30 days. You'll receive a permanent card in the mail within 10 business days.

In summary, to get a medical card in Florida, you need to live in Florida and have a qualifying medical condition.
